Cell 2 Soul. 2006 Spring; 2(1):a2
Increase your joy and happiness,
minimize stress, yes,
so that you don't get cancer.
Optimists live longer than gloomy people.
Learn to play the cello
so that your brain cells
will die only slowly.
Sing. It's good for you.
Be connected,
visit friends,
all the literature advises it.
All true, I'm sure,
all good advice,
but must laughter work for a living,
joy pay its own way?
Or, will we welcome pleasure
when it enters our life
and let it be,
taskless?
