Joseph A. Wheelock, Jr.

Joseph A. Wheelock, Jr was born in Wilmington, Delaware on July 2, 1939. He graduated from Williams in 1960 and, after six months active duty in the U.S. Army, attended Harvard Law School, from which he graduated in 1964. In 1964-1965 he spent a year in Washington, D.C. acting as the Law Clerk of the Hon. John A. Danaher on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. He then joined the lawfirm of Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles, CA and practiced law there until his retirement at the end of 1997. His specialty was business litigation, with an emphasis in representing auditors, companies, underwriters, and directors & officers in securities litigation matters brought as class actions. He moved to Williamstown in 1998 shortly after retiring.
