Mary K. Lindberg

Her poems have appeared in Blueline (Spring 2005), Beloit Poetry Journal (forthcoming 2006), Waterways (2005, 2006), and numerous other journals. She was awarded Third Prize at the 2005 Dancing Poetry Festival and was a semifinalist, 2005 Pablo Neruda Prize for Poetry. In 2005 she received First Honorable Mention for non-fiction in the Dorothy Daniels Honorary Writing Award Competition from the National League of American Pen Women (PEN), Simi Valley Branch.

She has published research on 18th century theatre and the art of William Hogarth. Her essay, "Inebriation or Dramatic Event: A Study of Cornelis Troost's NELRI Series," appeared in Theatre Studies at Play (Amsterdam: Pallas Publications, 2004), and "Stylistic Strategies in William Hogarth's Theatrical Satires," was reprinted in Literature Criticism from 1400 to 1800, Vol. 112, Gale Group, 2005.

She has taught English Literature at City University of New York colleges, New York University, and was a tenured Associate Professor of English at California State University, Northridge from 1972-79, when she began managing communications functions for corporations. Mary holds an MA and PhD in English Literature from New York University.
