Tamar Hoffmann was born and raised in Haifa, Israel. She studied medicine at the Hebrew University, Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem before moving to New York City where she completed an internal medicine residency at Booth Memorial Medical Center in Queens. Since then, she worked for 6 years with HIP of Greater New York and moved to Hawaii in 1989 to practice primary care internal medicine with the Honolulu Medical Group. Dr. Hoffmann is married and has one son.
