Elaine Adler currently works with happy people at happy times in their lives. As a calligraphic artist, she creates commissioned wedding contracts that include text in Hebrew and English, and artwork around the text. She also creates artistic birth announcements, wedding invitations, and family trees.

Elaine has been interested in the field of medicine since the age of 16, when she began working after school for her uncle, an ophthalmologist and otolaryngologist. She studied to become a Speech and Language Pathologist, receiving a B.S. and M.S. from the University of Michigan. As a graduate student, she treated patients in the university's unique residential Aphasia Clinic.

During the next 23 years, she worked as a Speech and Language Pathologist in the University of Michigan Children's Psychiatric Hospital as well as a number of public school settings in Michigan and Massachusetts. She specialized in diagnosing and treating preschool children with language disabilities.

Her interest in Dermatology stems from personal experiences. As a patient, she has practiced the philosophy that the patient needs to be an integral part of the treatment.
